Community & Social Economic
Development Partners
CFDCs have initiated or contributed to a host
of community economic development projects often in partnership
with other organizations - non-profit economic development groups,
other WD funded partners, provincial economic development organizations.
Each of the CFDC offices deliver programs and services that are
specific to the rural remote and northern communities they serve.
CFDCs have fostered a number of partnerships
and networks in their respective regions with organizations such
as the provincial Regional Economic Development Associations (REDAs),
community colleges, Chambers of Commerce, local Economic Development
offices in small cities and towns, and other federal, provincial
and municipal departments and non-profit groups with an interest
in seeing Saskatchewan grow economically.
Strong, vibrant communities are built by working
together. CFDCs help rural communities expand local economies
by looking at new approaches to business development, and providing
access to business resources and financial assistance. CFDCs,
through Strategic Planning, determine the role they will play
in Community and Social Economic Development in their respective
communities.
