Community Futures Newsask requires an Administrative Secretary
Community Futures Newsask is a non-profit corporation partially funded by Western Economic Diversification. The office is located in Tisdale, which is centrally located in Northeast Saskatchewan. The corporation offers a wide range of services, including loans, business plan development and other entrepreneurial services. The Community Futures Program is a federal initiative designed to carry out community economic development activities to develop and diversify the economy of Western Canada. There are 13 Community Futures offices located across the province and 268 offices across Canada.
The Position
Responsibilities will include receptionist duties, typing, mail service, internet research for clients, maintenance of office supplies, library research for clients, maintaining and co-ordinating a business library, minute taking, assist with monitoring and follow-up procedures for clients, prepare and assist with registration and execution of legal documentation for loan security, complete credit checks, type all correspondence, reports, assist with accounting and act as a back-up to the Accounting Clerk.
The Candidate
Applicant must have graduated from an acceptable post-secondary program or maintain 3 - 5 years related experience. Previous business experience a definite asset. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, research capabilities, presentation and organization abilities, and internet skills, computer literate in applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel. In addition, the knowledge of Access and Simply Accounting would be an asset. The successful applicant will be able to function in a fast-paced team environment, meet deadlines, act as a support staff for up to six staff members, be legally entitled to work in Canada and hold a valid driver's license.
